9.25 (very good) Great action and interesting plot. Awesome to see a black samurai in the anime world. ^^ (I'm Black myself)
Modern-day/futuristic technology and other inventions combined with ancient Japanese history and a different samurai as the main character makes it unique from other samurai anime I had ever seen. I like it.

10.00 (excellent) I like the futuristic, dark atmosphere in the anime and how it honestly exposes what people do in real life with these themes: society/social class discrimination, sex slavery, hungry for money, sex, and power, betraying friends, sacrificing your life for a loved one, and falling for someone who's very different than you, and you love and accept him/her for who they are. This anime is deep, and is one of the best yaoi in my opinion.

9.50 (excellent) I see Meiko, the "beast of summer" as a gateway for her dear friends to gain forgiveness, love, and peace to live again and move on from the painful past.
This anime perfectly shows us how the past affects us in different ways and how much friendship is important to have and to cherish in our lives. I enjoyed my journey watching this anime. It deeply melted and touched the cockles of my heart~

8.50 (very good) First anime I had seen as a kid. I wasn't an okatu then since it was cancelled so suddenly.
Years passed and DBZ made me an otaku. I discovered that Sailor Moon is not over when I finished DBZ.
I haven't seen the other seasons yet, and I will soon. I like the characters and their unique ability to transform into empowered women.
An important anime in my life.

9.25 (very good) Very interesting anime. I like the action.
The atmosphere in the anime is very mysterious and dark. I can still feel its presence when Saya's comical clumsiness and other funny antics try to sugarcoat it. This element makes it unique, and I'm looking forward watching it completely.

8.75 (very good) An edgy, wacky anime that stays true to its instincts.

Deadman Wonderland

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Jul 03, 2011

8.25 (good) This anime is like Shawshank-meets-Elfen Lied-and-Ancient-Rome-Gladiators. Life is no fairytale, and people are cruel in this world. Animal and human cruelty, violence, torture, psychological pain, greed and obsession are heavy themes in the anime and made it dark as Elfen Lied. I like how Shiro is used as a comical and inspirational element to keep the pain and violence from affecting us, yet I was stunned to know that she was the Red Man. Was a huge twist and climax in the anime.

Death Note

9.25 (very good) This anime is quite a cute oddball. Very funny, unique, weird, and philosophical. Like how outer space and the underwater are symbolized as mysteries, esp us humans' minds in the anime. And I liked Yashiro's ESP theory. Very deep.
Hope and never give up are very deep themes within the anime.
