8.25 (good) | This anime is like Shawshank-meets-Elfen Lied-and-Ancient-Rome-Gladiators. Life is no fairytale, and people are cruel in this world. Animal and human cruelty, violence, torture, psychological pain, greed and obsession are heavy themes in the anime and made it dark as Elfen Lied. I like how Shiro is used as a comical and inspirational element to keep the pain and violence from affecting us, yet I was stunned to know that she was the Red Man. Was a huge twist and climax in the anime. | ||

I rly enjoyed the romance. Kalus's deep loyalty and his position as a knight toward Taki is breath-taking.
It's like a knighthood-meets-military yaoi. + the chibi version episodes are adorable and very funny. | ||
